Day 1
After arriving at Kos Airport, you will be transferred to Asklipion Valley Guest House, which is approximately 30-45 minutes away. Your host, Gilly, will greet you upon arrival and take you to your accommodation for the week. You will have some time to settle in and get familiar with the surroundings. Additionally, you will be introduced to your allocated bicycle for the week.
In the evening, at around 6 pm, the group will convene for an orientation session. This is an opportunity to meet your fitness instructor/assistant host, as well as your fellow retreaters, and to get a detailed plan for the exciting week ahead. You can take advantage of the on-site meals available for your convenience.
If you arrive after 6 pm, don't worry; there will still be an evening meal waiting for you, and you can meet the group during breakfast.
Day 2
For those interested, there will be an optional fitness class available at 8 am. Remember, everything is voluntary, and you can participate in whatever you prefer. After the class, a buffet breakfast will be served between 9 am and 10 am, so feel free to take your time.
There are no other scheduled activities until 5 pm when an evening fitness class will be held, followed by a delectable BBQ. To end the day peacefully, there will be a sunset yoga or Pilates session. During your free time, you can explore nearby attractions, such as the Asklepion, which is only a short distance away.
Day 3
On Day 3, we will have an early start as we embark on a guided bike ride to the famed Thermal springs of Kos. The total distance of the bike ride is approximately 30km, but we will take a break midway to experience the healing properties of the natural spring. The route will take you through some charming villages, including Platani, known to be the Turkish settlement on the island.
After returning to the Guest House, you will have some free time to relax before the evening of fitness classes. If you wish to participate, there will be a sunset Pilates/yoga class that will be a perfect way to end the day after a morning of cycling.
For those who are not comfortable with longer bike rides, an E-Bike upgrade is available. Please ask for details.
Day 4
If you're an early bird, you'll enjoy starting Day 4 with a Pilates/yoga class. Following the class, a variety of fitness classes will be available throughout the day.
For those who want to explore the local area, you can take a bike ride and ask Gilly or Anastasia, the Guesthouse Owner, for some ideas on where to go.
Day 5
We will start Day 5 with an early morning hike up Mount Dikeos to catch the stunning views before the sun gets too hot. A hearty breakfast is recommended before taking the organized transportation to the picturesque village of Zia, from where we will begin the moderate-level hike to the island's highest point. The trail is also suitable for trail runners and is well-signposted. Once in Zia, you can take your time to explore the village, indulge in some shopping, grab a coffee, have lunch, or visit the nature park.
After a fun-filled day, we will return to the Asklipion Valley Guest House, where you can take part in the evening's fitness classes as per your preference.
Day 6
Day 6 offers you the flexibility to start with a fitness class and then select the preferred activity that you pre-booked with Gilly at the start of the week. You can choose from various options like horse riding at sunset, windsurfing lessons or rentals, or a relaxing visit to the traditional Artemis Hamam that offers different packages to suit your needs. Additionally, you can explore the neighboring islands or Turkey with a boat trip or spend a lazy day at one of the local beaches, and we can provide you with directions.
Day 7
The final day of activities, Day 7, starts with either Pilates or Yoga, followed by a range of fitness classes throughout the day. If you choose to cycle to Tigaki, you can join an Aqua Fitness class in the sea. However, the classes will end early, and in the evening, we'll head to Kos town to enjoy the local cuisine at the harbor, which is included in the retreat package. This is a perfect opportunity to buy some last-minute souvenirs to take home.
Day 8
On the day of departure, Day 8, it's time to say goodbye. We'll be sad to see you go, but we hope you enjoyed your stay and would like to return. You'll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight.
